It's important, who is editor and who is reporter here. These are not just two authors.

Also you're somewhy putting author info in footer. There is special place for author near date. No need to duplicate content.

I think my template handles this case better than yours, I prefer to not make the author field complicated, and also preserve the role of each author as a footer in a clear way.
