Current image in article has resolution 1100x729 which is definitely less then contest requirements (1280px-2560px). But there is bigger one in the source, which is 2560x1696, which is just exactly fits contest requirements (1280px-2560px).

- 1280px-2560px means 1280 width and 2560 height.

"IV page should use better quality images (within reason)" and there is no reason just for few cases replace all image links with high resolution because, in general, all hight resolution images have a resolution higher than the recommended.
Most of images presented in article by default alreadу have optimal resolution.
