I still insist that an image requires bigger resolution: Current image in article has resolution 1100x729 which is definitely less then contest requirements (1280px-2560px). But there is bigger one in the source, which is 2560x1696, which is just exactly fits contest requirements (1280px-2560px).

Dear administrators, please review this issue to prevent duplicates in future. Thanks.

@ Mr Владислав. My opinion is that 1280px-2560px - is the range not dimensions.

1280px-2560px means 1280 width and 2560 height.
And your example have resolution 2560 width (2 times greater than optimal) and 1696 height

Mostly telegram are used on smartphones in portrait orientation.

"IV page should use better quality images (within reason)" and there is no reason replace all image links with high resolution because, in general, all hight resolution images have a resolution higher than the recommended.
Most of images presented in articles by default alreadу have optimal resolution.
