Maybe it's better to use covers as link preview images on this site?
Looks like they're always (sorry if not, I haven't checked a lot of pages) use such images which duplicate (not exactly) title text and hide actual cover image.

In this case it does not seem to be a wrong/problematic preview image. Depending on the site you might want to use the cover image, but for now that seems optional.
