I think that in such cases it is necessary to remove duplicate photos.

- I have no idea, why would you think that. Those are two separate items, a gallery, and an image, placed there by the article editor. It is not a mistake and there is no reason to correct it.
You might as well remove the cover image, that duplicates the third image from the gallery.
Don't think it is a valid issue.
