There is no way to check that IV will be able to load up an image. Using src of low-res variant is not a solution - low-res variant may not load up while the initial one will, its resolution might be too small or IV will be able to load up it in the future. Again, the initial article loads up this image with its initial src, so it's IV's issue not related to my template.
