This information is not needed in the IV - it's information about the author. The author's name should be in the author field for the IV. The author's picture should not be in the IV.

Looking at various articles on this website, displaying the author this way seems very uncommon. There is no reliable way to get the author.

So displaying the author here is optional and up to the template creator. And in this specific case, in medical articles the author's information is not bad, it is optional.
