Another duplicate of issue #1. Captions in this website _are_ easily detectable: it's always italic text after an image or a widget. Look at my template: you'll notice that I didn't miss one.
Mixing them with the text can be confusing: sometimes they comment the pictures and not differentiating them properly from the paragraphs can be misleading. If you're not able to generate them reliably, it doesn't mean it's not possible.
