But in his case the author's name is provided twice, near the date and at the end of the article. Isn't that redundant? Besides, I've been reading this news website for a couple of years already and I know that if there is a particular person (not the service itself) who is the author, this name will be given specifically at the end of the article.

The article also shows it twice, if the source does, there is no problem if IV also does. However, if an author can be identified, it is always preferable to put it in the field intended for the author.
