- A URL like this is not an author though. Meta tags can be fairly unreliable and should not always be used.
About pages are optional, however, if optional content is to be supported, it must be supported well.

- It does not say in the checklist that a URL is equivalent to an author name.
It's the opposite, that author URLs specifically have their own individual property. Author URL should not be mistaken for author name, no matter what meta says.
Meta info is often unreliable across various domains. If the meta info is going to be used, the template must support it properly.
