The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Issue #2

This <a> is misleading as it asks the user to press the image for higher resolution. Probably it should either be removed or link should be added to the pic. Admins might clarify.

Yup, confusing for a bit. But this is content issue while template's job is to handle markup. IV template is actually simple set of rules, not AI so such issues is normal

The image should have a link to it better resolution version, since the text means "click to enlarge"

Sorry, what did just happened? Now I am confused. img/@src is absolutely the same as a/@href. There is No better better image resolution. Maybe it has sense in regular browser(for example if <img> has lower @width and @height attributes than actual image size) but it is senseless in IV. Text that suggests to click has no special markup and seems to be regular article content so cannot be recognized reliably. So did you want I set <img>'s @src and @href attributes the same? If yes, I will do it but will never understand this desicion
