I know that you would not resubmit your template because of this issue, but I don't think that using footer for author is a good idea in this case. That has class "author" on the original page and site gave that as author of the article.

TL;DR; the .author field sometimes contains a lot of rudimentary stuffs on this site, that's why I think it's better to leave it in footer.
