The article summary is presented as a modal dialog to the user when using the navigation.

Justifying by example, this template rendered at a width of 646px is 19,208px wide. Honestly, if that doesn't justify the use of folded sections to reduce the height, I don't know what is. The most important sections are kept out of collapsible sections and the ones that are deemed rather important (such as warnings or summary) are already expanded but can be collapsed by the user for skipping unnecessary sections.

Unless the collapsible sections prove to be problematic, I do not think this should be considered basis for rejecting the template.
