- 1) Gallery pages on this site don't contain descriptions that could be used in Link Preview. There are also no subtitles and, obviously, lead paragraphs.
2) The links that you have provided as examples of issues relate to articles, not galleries.
3) Your method has a problem: image caption describes specific photo, not the entire gallery.
4) Your method doesn't work perfectly.
4.1) In these galleries, first image has caption, but it's not used in Link Preview. Instead, your description repeats the title.

4.2) This gallery contains description in meta tag. Your template uses it, but the caption of the first image is broken.

- For galleries is better to remove the description at all.

- On the other hand, using first image caption as a link preview description is acceptable if the first image is used as a link preview image (see the reporter's template)

- Reception of issues for my template ended April 1 at 22:36. When I wrote my reply, I noticed that the Telegraph post was edited at 23:13. (I have a screenshot of the code, but not the post itself. https://telegra.ph/file/65a3a729f01217cf57994.jpg)
A day after I posted my answer, I opened reporter's post again and saw new changes. Reporter removed the failed arguments and examples and even added second issue!

Obviously, this is a form of cheating. If admins have no problems with this, maybe we should all go to this form of issues?
