The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

You should never turn normal <img>s into <pic>s. They work differently, they are not shown in the list of article images. <pic> is meant to be used for icons.
