And this page might be the only one containing vimeo on this site.
I can see you play those gray area issues very good, it's not that critical that I would revoke template myself, but it could be a problem if u convince admin. Guess this is what u called tactic in the IV group?

Could I know about risks of handling default Vimeo captions? Maybe some chance that combining this iframe with next paragraph containing a link to the same video (link to the video and link in caption are always equal), stable text (https://prnt.sc/nft7rz) and second link to Vimeo main page?
I can't imagine what can be wrong with this way.
If we should handle Giphy captions, why Vimeo is a hard goal?
