- My template should be the winner, because I reported 5 issues in template #59 (by Tomás G.) and Tomás only Resubmit before closing the contest and did not correct any of the 5 reported problems. In addition he had removed the caption from the pictures in Template #61!
My conversion to slideshow was limited with string length, where only images with subtitles of less than 55 characters were converted into slideshow ($caption[string-length(normalize-space(.)) > 0]).
The caption was only an additional image information that could be converted to slideshow. In this case captions did not work as a paragraph or something that was fundamental to understanding.

- If a template is not perfect, it will not win. As you can see, this site no longer has any active templates.
In the checklist you can see that when the main content of the page are images, you should not use slideshow (even if in the source they do). This is not only by the size of the caption, but also by the number of images and by the ease of viewing the article in IV. If there are only images, they are more appreciated by being outside a slideshow.
