- If I were you, I won't do it, you just turned all images in table into <pic> in your template. It's not a suitable usage of pic element, pic is preserved for small icon, not for fixing all NESTED_ELEMENT_NOT_SUPPORTED error like this one.
And there're other cases on this site, they use table for figure and figcaption. Things could be very complex with image nested in table, especially in all those case with no semantic css class, only some styles and attributes. That's really aggressive methods, you will endanger content.
