You are wrong. Look at http://www.brooklynvegan.com/satyricon-finds-new-territory-with-deep-calleth-upon-deep/ Your template resizes footer image and footer looks ugly at all. My template keep original footer image size.

Point taken - I was wrong about the footer.

But I'm not wrong about the rest.

PS. It does not look ugly, its very subjective thing.
