In some cases this site shows a color gradient as a cover. However, there is an img tag with no attributes that prevents IV generation. See the screenshot below:
That's not a color gradient, just an author's error. There are no such img tag without src on most pages without cover image.

You can easily recognize this case and generate the IV. Your competitors already do this.
