- I think this is essential part of text, basically this is the info about guest author: "This article by *Brian Sewell* was originally published ...".
Writer decided to include it, so I think I have no rights to exclude it, because this is a unique bit of information, not repeating in the other articles.
This gives an idea to reader who the guest is.
