The checklist clearly state that author link are optional and should be set if one can be identified in the source. The link I used, which is specified by a comment in //span[@class="author-post"] can be reliably identifiable in the source in more than one page:
Furthermore, the guidelines say that issue concerning author links are not accepted unless the link pointed to an inappropriate page, which was definitely not my case. My links were pointing exactly to a page that lists the author posts. So why was that issue accepted? And let's not discuss that its acceptance was immediate, just after it's been created.
