The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Issue #1

This media works in all other templates in the contest.
Den S.
The problem here is my template takes higher resolution (954x540) and other templates take 768x435. It was already discussed, we shouldn't take 480p videos if 720p is available, for example. Same for gifs, what I am doing here is within reason. Read the Checklist #6.2.1.

In fact, my template doesn't take higher resolution for images with class="size_xlarge", but does take hi-res for gifs. There are cases when hi-res version is 10k for images, but no such cases for gifs - it is much much more safe.

Also note that this site always uses that "size_xlarge" class, no matter if a non-enlarged media is 300x300 or 1000x1000. So I can find you exactly opposite issue, actually.

To sum up my points, it is safe to use hi-res for gifs, moreover - it should be used. If you can find a gif with 2k+ resolution, which will be against the checklist, then I will make changes to my template. But I believe it is a very exotic thing. For now, I am doing everyting right.

Not critical, since it's a GIF that user sees in a browser: https://telegra.ph/file/41e34a0ae3d545fd9fc55.png

Unfortunately, its size is too big for IV.
