subtitle is missing
Declined by admin
This isn't a subtitle. Rather, this is a 'lead section' or 'opening paragraph'. The IV format has no dedicated element for this, so it is up to the template creator to decide how to display this content. This template offers an acceptable way of handling this.

Slideshows are REQUIRED only if the source article shows several photos or other media as a slideshow or gallery. (c) Checklist

This is the case, slideshow must be present.
Evgeniy Korotchenko
Slideshows must not be used:

If the article uses images/videos/GIFs with captions as the main medium, those images should not be presented as a slideshow (e.g.: travel blogs that show many photos with captions, step-by-step crafting guides, cooking recipes, etc.). Use images with captions (or even plain paragraph text) following one another. (c) Checklist

2Adm: this issue is a part of dialog started in Issue #1.

This article not used images as the main medium and we can't verify that.

Because this is usual news and if another article with a slider will contain more text, then your argument will not be valid.

For example, this is real case where slider is main content and we can detect that in url: http://iz.ru/605348/gallery/prazdnovanie-dnia-rossii-v-moskve

But in the case on kickoff.com this is the usual news where can be a lot of text.
Evgeniy Korotchenko
Why? Is usualy main medium in this case, watch this: kickoff.com/news/65767/gallery-psl-award-winners-201516

When this tag is exist there are no a lot of text.

Zaur
No, this is not caption on the original page.

It's simple paragraph after title on the original page.
Accepted by admin
This is in the tag "youtube-description". It should be displayed as caption.
Template #13 Issue #1

that text is presented as a caption on the original page
Evgeniy Korotchenko
Caption? Seroisly? By the structure is a subtitle or paragraph, it is optional what to choose, in the catalog this text is subtitle.
Accepted by admin
While this is optional, the author did choose this solution for the final version.

I don't think it's wise to get the publication date from the title - anything could be written there. Also if that's the date then it should be removed from the title
Evgeniy Korotchenko
Remove from the title? I don`t think so.
"Anything could be written there" - I can say, that all articles can content everything, but in this way this is the date of the post.

Missing actual description in Link Preview.

My template make it more better.

3.2. Link preview
If a short description exists in the source, it must be used for the link preview (OpenGraph descriptions, lead sections, etc.).
Evgeniy Korotchenko
The owner of kickof.com think, that his preview is better, than the first words of the paragraph, which is has not any meaning, because finished as "..."
Declined by admin
Using the meta property "twitter:description" as description is perfectly fine.

2Adm: this issue is a part of dialog started in Issue #3.

All sites insert description by default, but in this case it does not tell us anything.

You insert a title, and then a default description, but that does not match the title. It's not right and looks awful.

Please read the rules that say we should use suitable content for description and in this case it should be video description.

3.2. Link preview
If a short description exists in the source, it must be used for the link preview (OpenGraph descriptions, lead sections, etc.).
Evgeniy Korotchenko
This is not a SHORT description, this is a figcaption, man.
Declined by admin
The template creator uses the OpenGraph descriptions (or rather twitter description). This is perfectly fine.

2Adm: this issue is a part of dialog started in Issue #3.

From your description in Link Preview, the user will not be able to understand what is on the page.

We must use the relevant description when there is a possibility.
Evgeniy Korotchenko
This is the whole text! Full article in the short description, really?

Full article?

3.2. Link preview

If a short description exists in the source, it must be used for the link preview (OpenGraph descriptions, lead sections, etc.).

---

I use the description for the video in the preview because it's short and is best for describing the content of the page.

Read the rules, they say that we must use lead sections if it's required.

"Read the rules, they say that we must use lead sections if it's required."

Where is the lead section in your article? I just see figcaption.
Zaur
In this case, the figcaption is the lead section.

I do not understand why you are arguing. You both have the element <figcaption>, one has it selected as <b>, the other does not. This is optional for both cases. This is not a critical error.
