Simple span without any specific class on it, most likely formated by hand — can't be safely selected/extracted.

The caption is actually identifiable, as it's contained together with the <img> inside a <span>.

It's fairly consistent too, as doing a basic search of the site, I saw a few other articles using this same method for captions:
