Since the slideshow is the main content, the images must be separated.

Slideshows must not be used:
When the article consists entirely of a slideshow (and its caption/description) and there's no other content.

It's perfectly fine to display this as a slideshow, as the following paragraph is the article's body, not the slideshow's caption/description.
