Problem not in source. It's only your fault. :D In source element has god enough order- ...img - em - img - em -img - em ... but with some nesting ofc.
You just do not know how to properly work with nesting and order. Also... you missed <s> tag I can't imagine how you did that.
This article not very old, but... anyway, such a basic approach, would have effect on any other articles including newer.
