Please look through more articles in /pp/ section of different categories. Almost all of them have very distinct design, which is as important as content itself. If it weren't the case, they wouldn't be a special /pp/ kind.
These pages are designed to be visually in theme with the subject. They use all kinds of backgrounds, colors, geometry and other decorative elements. It's not just article-like textual content.
