- There is such markup (image in blockquote) on the source page, we should not fix it and guess what did author mean.
Maybe one time there will be person's portrait in this <img> tag.

Still, the image is enlargeable. You are converting it to Icon limiting it to a tiny 240x159 size. This way the reader won't be able to see what's on the image. It's practically the same as not using a higher resolution image at all.
Icon type is primarily intended for, well, icons. It's ok to use it in cases what the image is inherently small, like a person's portrait in a blockquote, but not for regular full-sized images that are part of the article's main content.
