The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The main features of code widget are highlighting and preserving strings (no word wrapping). They are not achievable in IV. Long sections of code are unreadable in IV format. I'd say code widgets should block generating IV.
