- year 2013? how far are you ready to go?
1) last years they fill meta-tags and there is no problem with it
2) last years they have main image in the articles and we understand that it is good for this purpose
3) It is impossible to predict how first simple image without any attributes and already after some text fits to this purpose. it is even not gallery page. F.e. I didn't like when image_src is taken from the bottom of the article like in yours template and besides it is a little big to see something on it in preview (I see only half of first graphics and half of the second, for what)
