OnePlus 3 Review
The OnePlus 3 is a superb piece of hardware at a very affordable price point. This 5.5-inch handset is powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC, and there's a huge 6 GB of RAM complemented by 64 GB of storage as standard, a fingerprint scanner, and a 16MP rear camera with OIS. It's not just the hardware that impresses: OnePlus has finally ditched their ludicrous invite system, too.

1280px-2560px means 1280 width and 2560 height.
And your example have resolution 2560 width (2 times greater than optimal) and 1696 height
Mostly telegram are used on smartphones in portrait viewport.

"IV page should use better quality images (within reason)" and there is no reason replace all image links with high resolution because, in general, all hight resolution images have a resolution higher than the recommended.
Most of images presented in articles by default alreadу have optimal resolution.
And dont forget about traffic. Your fullsize image is 472kb.

@ Mr Владислав. My opinion is that 1280px-2560px - is the range not dimensions.
