This is not a figcaption, but a regular paragraph with regular text inside.

It's not a caption.
Template #12 Issue #2
Feb 13, 2019
To the best of my knowledge, Betis vs Real Madrid kicked off at 19:45 UTC. Since all dates and times shown in the IV preview are in UTC, this template would imply that the article has been published before the match even started.
To me it sounds more likely that the date and time in the original article should be parsed according to the Colombian timezone (UTC-5 at the moment), so that 22:39 would be displayed in the preview.
Deleted Account
Datetime in the source code is just a text inside <div> element. There is no information about timezone or maybe Epoch seconds on which we could rely.
Declined by admin
Handling of timezone is optional and up to the template creator.
Template #13 Issue #1

This photo not have a photo caption. The caption is a paragraph.
Dario
There is nothing in the source article that would reliably identify this element as a caption. It's just a paragraph with emphasized text inside.
Declined by admin
It's not a caption.

From checklist: "It is possible to omit the name when there‘s no identifiable person, only the website’s ‘team’, ‘editors’, etc."

Template #12 Issue #4
Feb 15, 2019
Easily identifiable "related article" link, should be in <related> tag.
Deleted Account
No, it's not "easily identifiable". It's just a text with link inside <strong>, inside <p>. None of the elements provide information that it is "related". In text anything can be written, like spanish version of "read more", "also read", "also check" or something entirely else.

Nice job Dario! Looks like your template can't handle this kind of pages: https://www.laopinion.com.co/caricatura/caricatura-del-sabado-9-de-febrero-de-2019-171051#OP. Let's look what is more valuable - one page with unique layout or entire part of website.

Non-essential navigation bar. Useless header. Also, the second picture is intentionally hidden in the original article.

This is related articles, and it not is formated correct.
Deleted Account
It's just a regular text with link inside <strong>, inside <p>. None of the elements provide information that it is "related", so there is no reliable way to tell this from another paragraphs.

Not identifiable
Template #25 Issue #2
Feb 21, 2019
This one is not a simple paragraph and can be more clearly identified as a related article.
Deleted Account
Yep, now it's not a paragraph with a link, but a <galeria> with a link. Still, no markup consistently identifying it as "related". Similar issue: https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/laopinion.com.co/template25/issue1/

Time information is missing.
Accepted by admin
The reporter's template handles this case better.
Dario
Do you admins actually verify issues before accepting them?

Time is not missing, just hidden. When the publication time is exactly 00:00 (midnight) UTC, the IV preview only shows the day of publication. Always.

The date and time in the article were parsed according to the Colombian timezone, so that 11 Feb at 7:00pm (19:00) in UTC-5 became 00:00 of 12 Feb in UTC.

https://instantview.telegram.org/checklist#3-1-general-properties

"The subtitle must be shown on the IV page if a subtitle exists in the source."

https://instantview.telegram.org/checklist#6-1-3-subtitle

"A subtitle is a subordinate title of a published work or article giving additional information about its content. If this is present in the original article, a subtitle is required."

"Few publications actually use subtitles. Somewhat more common are short summary sentences that are also shown below the title (and are called standfirst by the British). These summary sentences are usually short and are not part of the article's text. It is advisable but not required to represent them as subtitle elements."

Description in link preview not handled properly.

Admin's decision: https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/dalealbo.cl/template2/issue1/
Dario
I believe it to be a bug in the website.
According to the Open Graph protocol http://ogp.me/ og:description should be a simple string without any HTML. Various tools such as http://iframely.com/debug and https://github.com/mozilla/page-metadata-parser match the behavior of my template.

EXCEPTION! Slideshows must not be used:

...
When the article consists entirely of a slideshow (and its caption/description) and there's no other content.
When the article uses images/videos/GIFs with captions as the main medium (e.g.: travel blogs that show many photos with captions, step-by-step crafting guides, cooking recipes, etc.).
In the cases above, use images with captions (or even plain paragraph text) following one another.

"Galerias" here uses images as main media, text is only short description. Slideshow must not be used.
Dario
It can be either displayed as a slideshow or not.
From past issues you can see that even a single link can be considered "other content" as "there is some flexibility case-by-case" even when images are being used as main media:
