Date is missing, while being identifiable in the source (my template identifies it, and I didn't need to add anything special to support this article so I don't know why it doesn't catch it here).
Same with https://www.lejdc.fr/france-monde/sports/tour-des-flandres-mamma-mia-pour-bettiol_13535121/ for example.

Why do you create paragraphs where they don't exist both visually and in source code (textbox in the end)?

Not an issue at all. Since the Telegram app allow users to copy only the whole paragraph It's a good practice to split text blocks between <br>.

Gi
This was accepted by mistake (and I didn't notice), so let me appeal:
on this domain `<div class="c-citation">` can be used both for blockquotes (like in this article) as for pullquotes (examples : https://www.lejdc.fr/nevers-58000/economie/l-entreprise-u-shin-dont-un-site-est-a-nevers-est-officiellement-controlee-par-minebea-mitsumi_13541256/ ; https://www.lejdc.fr/paris-75000/actualites/trois-conseils-pour-que-les-enfants-ne-deviennent-pas-hypnotises-par-les-ecrans_13536425/ -- check the quotes in these articles : same "c-citation" markup, yet these are pullquotes since all the quote content is duplicated in the article text).
So, we have to choose to format "c-citation" divs either as pullquotes or blockquotes *for all articles* of the domain because we can't discriminate between these 2 cases, but that choice *has to be arbitrary* and the fact that I chose pullquotes in this template can't be considered an issue (otherwise using blockquotes would then become an issue with the articles I linked above).

I know the contest is finished and I'm not trying to reinstate my template, but I'd like to understand.
This issue doesn't make any sense, images are not all gathered in a slideshow at the bottom of the article in the source, look at the preview on the left (or open the article in a browser) : there is a separate cover image at the top...
Why would anyone want to gather them in a slideshow below ?

I've brought forth more arguments there in case someone would ever care :

I wish you'd just explain why forcing the cover in a lower slideshow would be the correct way to present the page in IV.
This issue has already been confirmed valid at least 3 times but has never been justified or explained.
I'm only looking for clarifications here 💡
Thanks in advance for explaining.

This is a very recent article, and this embed is used often on this site, for example :

No, the website source identifies it as a "keyword", it's akin to a tag or a category.
I think RM2 is short for "Régionale masculine 2", a basketball league.
Look at https://www.lejdc.fr/theme/la-charite/#refresh : you'll see the same looking text before each article : "Basketball", "NM1" ("Nationale masculine 1", another league), "Insolite" ("Trivia"), etc. They make it clear it's more of a keyword tag or a category.

Checklist mentions this about such "kickers" :
"If the kicker represents a regular section or category into which the article falls, (e.g. ‘CRIME: Seventy suitcases stolen from Heathrow airport’), it should be omitted. We will not accept issues based on missing section/category kickers."

Thus, it should be omitted, and in any case no issue about them would be accepted.

This template does a match on image sources, and it turns out this page contains one image with a data URL as source.
This data URL is exceptionally long and the IV regexp engine hits its backtracking limit (which, understandably, is set very low by IV engine I believe) trying to match it.

Anyway this is a very rare occurrence (the first time I've seen it in any IV domain actually) and I haven't seen this case on any other article.
Thus I believe it isn't critical but I'll let the arbiter decide.
Accepted by admin
Definitely it's the template's issue.

Playbuzz quiz embed in source (visible with JS enabled) removed from IV (it's essential content: it's the main content of this article -- cf. the article title which reads "how well do you know ***" or "take the test" and the dangling highlighted paragraph which introduces the quiz in the source).
This embed isn't supported in IV and IV shouldn't be generated for this page, instead this template removes the embed and shows only part of the article content.

More such articles :
- https://www.lejdc.fr/nevers-58000/actualites/nouvel-examen-du-code-de-la-route-passez-le-test-quizz_11909775/ .

Note that there are several such articles on this domain and none of them is considered ancient lore as per the checklist recommendations.

While the recent speed increase in issue reviewing is truly welcome (prev. issue took 4 days to get a decision), here it is a bit unfortunate: I expected such an issue to be reported, and I meant my template to be this way and wanted to defend that decision (cf below), but didn't even have the chance to answer (I wasn't in front of my computer when it was filed).
Here's hoping appeals are now reviewed as fast ^_^

Anyway yes I saw that issue, yes I saw others change their template to put the cover in a slideshow at the end of the article, but no I don't think it is correct.
I've explained why at https://telegra.ph/JDC-images-04-30 with some screenshots for clarity.
@admin: please read it and if you still think images should be displayed differently than they appear in the source, then I'd appreciate you'd elaborate on why, and how it should be displayed in IV.
Original issue is very vague (and wrong IMO) and was accepted without explanation, so in case you'd agree with it clarification would be nice.

Thanks!

Preview description missing in IV.
Meta descriptions are usually useless on this domain, but as the checklist specifies one should be made from article content in this case :
"- The link preview requires a description.
- If the description in the meta data (routinely) doesn’t describe the contents of the article [note of reporter: this is the case on this domain], your template must create a description using the subtitle or lead section, first paragraph, etc."

There's no reason not to use for example the first paragraph in this case ; see other templates for a proper preview description.
Kirill S

This template over-separate text in paragraphs by creating a new paragraph for every mid-text <br>, *even when they are inside a single <p> in source*.
I get the importance of transforming poorly marked up text where paragraphs are separated by several <br> tags into separate paragraphs, but often single <br> tags are only for line breaks and don't justify making them into another paragraph.
Here it really shows why this isn't a wise design choice : some line breaks appear mid-sentence in the source (which would be fine to preserve of course), but this template ends up breaking up a single sentence in 2 separate paragraphs (e.g. at "Bairrada" and other places in source).
This happens on several places and classifies as over-transformation of the source IMO.

Other examples :
- https://www.lejdc.fr/nevers-58000/actualites/la-verbalisation-des-depots-sauvages-de-poubelles-dans-les-rues-de-nevers-va-s-intensifier_13541982/ : sentences grouped in same paragraph broken up each in their own <p> in IV

Caption to the 2nd image of the article missing for some reason.
It ends up as regular text in a paragraph.

Very recent article.

The caption is in its own <p>, but it immediately follows the corresponding <img> is identified with `<span class="c-legende">` so there's no reason to miss it just because it's not in the same <p> as the image.
See my template for proper handling of all captions.

Note that this isn't a one-off, this happens on several very recent articles : https://www.lejdc.fr/nevers-58000/actualites/un-froid-presque-record-a-nevers-avec-6-5-c-de-nouvelles-gelees-annoncees_13540562/ for another example (although the markup is slightly different here, it can be identified just the same since `<span class="c-legende">` immediately follows the `<img>` -- see my template).

This article's only text is marked up with <div class="c-soustitre">, which literally means "subtitle", and in all other articles of this domain identify the subtitle.
Article text is always in <div class="entry-content">, which exceptionally seems to be empty in this article.
This is the only such article the submitter has been able to find and it's from 2017.
Body is empty in source, which has never been seen on any other article.
Template #52 happens to support it because it doesn't identify the subtitle and treats it as regular article text, and issuer's template #50 supports it because of special support for this one-off case of subtitle but no body.

At least, you could leave people some time to answer to the issues sent to their templates.
There should be a minimum time before issues can be reviewed. #IVSuggestion
Meanwhile some issues take days (sometimes close to a week) before being reviewed, and most appeals remain ignored forever.
One way or another, quite a suboptimal experience :'(
Accepted by admin
Technically "c-soustitre" isn't a subtitle, it's a lead. And it seems the page may content only a lead. The issue is caused by the template displaying lead as a subtitle.

Another missed caption ending up as paragraph text.
Recent article and _not_ a broken source markup, it's just that there are 2 spans making up the caption of this image and they should be merged.
It's a quite common pattern on this domain (e.g. https://www.lejdc.fr/paris-75000/loisirs/comment-leonard-de-vinci-influence-t-il-encore-le-village-italien-dans-lequel-il-est-ne_13552329/ for another recent example) and is very easy to support, for example my (now declined for other issues) template handled it properly.
Just merge captions following each other.

One more missed caption (the one to the last image on this article isn't identifiable though, but others are) :
https://www.lejdc.fr/nevers-58000/loisirs/musique-spectacles-de-rue-sports-drones-bals-l-annee-va-etre-animee-a-nevers_12739297/

That guy using a crawler just found two pages with exotic captions and it's not a common case at all.
And that decision to reject because of that is also quite strange, it's typical site issue. I had the case when because of wrong formatted captions user's template got nested error:
