Template #3 Elian Doran	Issue #1 Jun 13, 2017	Ivan Napolskykh The author's name is incorrect. Elian Doran Hello, thank you for your spirit of observation. The author name is read via metadata, and in the parsing process the HTML character entities are not converted to their Unicode representation. Unless the IV developers implement an option similar to @urldecode, but decoding HTML entities instead, there is currently no solution I am aware of. Of course, entity-encoded characters are only present for character that need them, in this case the Russian alphabet. If one is to copy the string of character displayed as author and put them into a decode tool, it would result in "Калей Роджерс". Metadata is the best way to obtain author information because it is the most accurate. Note to admin: Please forward my suggestion of @entitydecode, or something similar, to IV developers. It would be great. Thanks Accepted by admin Thank you for the suggestion. It may be added in future, but while there's no way to parse the author name perfectly, it is better not to do it. If a function like @entitydecode is added, the template will still require a rework to use it here.

Template #13 ARX8x	Issue #1 Jun 17, 2017	Ivan Napolskykh Redundant picture (which was automatically generated by vice in case of unavailability "scr" attribute's data in "img" tag) does not removed from top of template. Highlighted caption does not added to the photo. ARX8x @admin, I request you to load the original page and check if you see the 'redundant' image in it as well. It's in my template because it's in the source. Also, the caption isn't really used as caption. It's in the body. Please inspect that as well. Headings that high-leveled are undesirable, especially since the site makes clear distinction it is a lead paragraph. It's loaded the same exact way author name etc are loaded in this website. Author missed it. I know the usual "the src is empty" kinda arguments will be presented but the author name is also empty by that logic and you had to use special method to get them. If you're not sure how the image is fetched, inspect the javascript code. It will tell you. They're used as text with different style. They appear just like in the original source. There are more critical issues to look at. Caption should be clearly distinguishable in DOM. Otherwise it can be problematic for other article that use the same style for something else. Since, we'll be using next-sibling for this, it can cause catastrophic effect and should be avoided Declined by admin It seems to be an off-formatting caption.

It was impossible to create a perfect template for this domain until the three new functions were added. This involves scraping json, decoding it, appending in paths, converting them to html etc. What happened here is that I had to sacrifice one page for a solution that works for many many pages. https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/vice.com/template22/issue4/ This issue and two other issues were fixed with my code. I wouldn't choose a solution that would break a large number of pages for the sake of rare one-off situations. Please consider the difficulty in making a decision here. Accepted by admin The IV format does not support images nested inside lists. For this stage, we needed the template creators to ensure that their templates displayed all content well or not at all. Unfortunately, leaving those ul > img like this is not an option and is a G3 issue.
