What you did was a modification to a YouTube code of the time that it only worked with Shockwave Flash yet and this is not a standard for video publications. The publication is from 2010, there is no way to predict this and possibly no one accesses more of these old publications.

Content is missing and should be generated.

Here is a better one:

Is the video available? Yep. Is it here? Yep. Is this the video from the page? Yep (you can check it).
I cannot check availability of the content, but it available on this page, why not present it?
Moreover, newly added videos are sometimes deleted too. We have no way to check it. So it is better to present everything that we can

Yes, but according to:
https://instantview.telegram.org/checklist#6-8-2-videos-from-unsupported-players
You should make <iframe> version first and only then if you can't - get source link.
I'm pretty sure Telegram will support gfycat's <iframe> out of box soon.

And more: your template gets low fps and low resolution (252x251 instead of 387x385) version.

I am just trying trying to follow the rules:

6.8.2. Videos from unsupported players

If the unsupported widget has an iFrame version, make it into an <iframe>. If you do that, the IV page will not be generated due to unsupported content, but things will work out of the box when and if we support that widget.
If it is not possible to represent the widget as an iFrame, but it is possible to get a direct link to the video, use this link to generate a <video> with the correct src attribute.
Otherwise, mark the object with the @unsupported function.

gfycat can be called video player, as it serves video as well as gif. It has an iframe version, so it should be presented.

The quoted section of the checklist is dedicated to videos, not GIFs. We prefer iframes for videos because each video embedded directly into the page must be below 20mb. This rule doesn't hold for GIFs, since their size almost never exceeds the 20 mb limit. We will update the checklist to clarify this.

Template #28 handles the GIFs on these pages reasonably well.
Dmitry
Please, reconsider your decision.
gfycat.com is the short video hosting first of all. Every link they generate includes a GIF file, but they pick the best format user browser can view and most of the videos are served in mp4 (or webp) format.
mp4 has a lot of benefits over a gif such as size (important for mobiles), colors (gif has only 256 color palette), streaming and ability to control playback (pause).

Please, kindly check this page: ahnegao.com.br/?p=96376
mp4 version of the video has 100 fps (!!!), 640x386 res for only 1.18 MiB size.
gif version from the template #28 has total (!) 89 frames in 12s movie, 447x250 res, poor colors for 3.76 MiB (!).

There is a noticeable quality loss and user will get bad expirience.
I think this can not be considered as a solution for the perfect template.

GFYCAT is currently ranks within the top 74 in the US (Alexa) with over 80 million monthly active users.
I think these videos should NOT be presented as gifs and eventually Telegram should support iframe version.
Accepted by admin
MP4 GIFs don't require iframe support either: they should well fit within the <video> limits, so you can simply use <video> instead of <img> for them. Template #28 could be improved in this direction too, since it uses <img> for such GIFs, but it is a better approach than to use iframes and support no GIFs at all. Thank you for your comment, we'll consider improving the docs for future cases to make it more clear how GIFs can be handled, but this issue is accepted correctly.
