- We have checked ~40 of the latest videos posted there and none of them use the short link format. While your approach indeed generates slightly more IVs due to support for these cases, not supporting this minor formatting is a Grade 7 issue (doesn't cause any damage to the user).
At the same time, your template has a minor Grade 5 issue on some pages:

And I've looked through half of the site and could not find it anywhere so that photos and descriptions to them would be made out like that.
Most likely, this is a misprint of the editor who wrote it in the form of a list and this is an one-time case. Could you, please, reconsider this question?

- It's not missing actually. The IV preview consistently omits the time when it equals 00:00 (midnight) UTC. The date and time in the article were parsed according to the local timezone, so that 02:00 in UTC+2 becomes 00:00 in UTC.

- Unfortunately it's not possible to preserve the exact formatting of the source article in the IV. I used bold text in places where the original used reddish color.
I don't think <blockquote> should be used here, since according to the HTML Standard "The blockquote element represents a section that is quoted from another source".

However, this is a good example of why the sequence matters. The second line's "They" depends on the first line's "Republicans".
Switch the order and the lines lose meaning.
It's a valid issue (but in this case, a duplicate issue).
