i think first picture on sciencedaily.com is always cover, not just a picture, because it is static and always on top of the article
IV always look better with cover
Declined by admin
Cover is optional here, up to the template creator to set a cover or not.
Template #3 Issue #1
May 23, 2017
No credits for the image. No link to the source of information. The author should be always "Sciencedaily" not the source of the information, as they note: "Note: Content may be edited for style and length"
Accepted by admin
Captions for images should be preserved and attached to their respective media.

Source handling is up to the template creator and optional.

If author name of the article is not known, then author should not be displayed.

Divider and empty paragraph were not removed
Vasili S 🆚
"Dividers must be converted to simplified dividers on IV page if dividers exist in the source."
Converted, not deleted. In the original article, this divider exists.

This is not critical enough to warrant the rejection of a template.

The source is always being mentioned at the bottom of the article again. Not sure if it's really necessary to repeat it at the top (since it hardly fits the IV layout)

this blocks are displayed incorrectly
Ilya Borovik
Related Articles are displayed as IV Contest Preview displays them. Native apps will display them as intended by the devs.

About "Cite This Page": it is a collapsible block closed by default. The reason is that citing information does not serve as the central information source. It is just an additional data. We can remove it, but it's better (in my opinion) to keep it and hide by default. Anyone who needs it, will be able to open the block in IV and get/copy this information. (you can also open it here and check content with ⌘+Click)

Why is source thrown inside a paragraph like that?
Ilya Borovik
Yes, this paragraph starts by naming the source, but also this paragraph is exactly the second paragraph of article (after the removed "advertisement" block).
Nothing was "thrown", information is preserved.
Declined by admin
You marked the "source" field as missing, which is true, but the article itself is exactly the same as on the website/source. So nothing is "thrown inside a paragraph".

Template #29 Issue #4

this block are not necessary
Ilya Borovik
Articles on this website are dedicated to the published scientific articles. People who read them may be interested in the article source (present in IV) and would love to cite it in their own research/paper.
The website provides templates for the three most common citation styles. It is better to preserve this information so that a user can copy citation directly from IV without opening the browser. Citations are not needed to every reader so I am hiding them in a collapsible block.

Refernces are important part of science articles and should be preserved
Template #29 Issue #5

"<related> containing one of <h1> – <h6> tag as header of the block and <a> tags with the attribute href containing a URL of related article."

Template #33 Issue #2
Feb 10, 2019
This article is a page with a scientific term description. The first paragraph is a term definition.

The term definition is highlighted in the original source, but not in IV (is not distinguishable from ordinary paragraphs).

The other two templates handle it better.

Also block with "Note" looks significantly better in other templates
Template #33 Issue #3
Feb 10, 2019
Links to Related Topics (do not have IV, since they are categories and contain dynamic lists of article) and Related Terms (static, have IV) are mixed under one "Related Stories" block

In original source, related blocks "Related Stories", "Related Topics" and "Related Terms" are separated. The same should happen in IV.
Also, category articles from "Related Topics" should be removed because they do not have IV.
Declined by admin
If these links don't generate IV, they won't be displayed in clients as related
Template #33 Issue #4

Is it appropriate to use tag <footer> to format notes in the original text? Is it an issue or not?
Sean Wei
I think it's better than summary/detail format

Scientific term pages (like this) are static and have IV.

For each term there is a static list of related terms. A reader may be interested in reading the definition for other related terms, so it's better to preserve this static block in a <related> tag.
Sean Wei
Other types of “More” links that are not suitable for the “Related articles” block should be removed.

Examples:
- Dynamic lists of “Latest articles from this category”.

A very good initiative, to make available research papers in an instant view. Thank you for doing so. The article is also very interesting.
