These videos are included in many articles, but they are also not much essential content, but usually more like related videos on the topic, or contain the same content available in the text. If I'd use iframe, many articles would fail generate and make the template much less useful, so I use the video preview with a clear way to view it. Declined by admin

So, my question is: highlighted element is a video on the original page (unsupported by IV engine). The template author took a video preview, turn it into image and added "Watch video" to the caption. In my opinion it's inappropriate, but please give some answer that I can refer to. P.S. About caption: if it's allowed, shouldn't we have a consistent format for it? Some use "Watch vide: blah", others "blah (watch the video)". Мага I personally don't see this as an issue in displaying such videos this way for nbcnews.com, because: 1. They usually just duplicate the information available in the text 2. They are hosted on nbcnews.com domain, so it's not some popular external player that is likely to be supported by Telegram 3. It's same image displayed on the original page before you click on the video 4. Link opens the player itself, not the full page with the video 5. NBC is a TV channel, so they include these videos in many articles. If it'd be represented as a simple <iframe>, many articles would fail to generate. It's not possible to determine whether such poll has an essential meaning to an article or not, because it's up to article author how to use it. If such poll would be simply ignored & removed, it would open a window for potential issues, such as: - Poll is the main content of the page (e.g. NBC decided to collect users opinion about something). No poll, misleading IV. - Article author mentions poll itself in the text or added some text about its results after updating article. IV viewer would not understand at all about what poll author is talking about. It would be OK to remove website widgets, however, it's an article author's content, which may be essential. If such block would be removed, and later such article, where poll is essential, would be found or created, all pages with polls would be again needed to be unsupported. Declined by admin
