Fadhl secara bahasa berarti tambahan atau kelebihan. Sedangkan nasii’ah secara bahasa maknanya adalah penundaan atau penangguhan.
Nah, sekarang mari kita mencoba untuk memahami apa yang dimaksudkan oleh para ulama dengan istilah riba fadhl dan riba nasi’ah , meskipun sebenarnya, setelah kita memahami fakta tentang jenis-jenis riba, bukan suatu hal yang wajib untuk mengenal nama-namanya. Hanya saja, karena istilah riba fadhl dan nasi’ah ini sangat sering kita baca atau kita dengar, maka kita akan menemukan kesulitan untuk memahami tulisan atau pembicaraan yang mengandung kedua istilah tersebut.
Silahkan cermati kembali poin dua dan poin tiga pada penjelasan hadits yang baru saja kita lewati, setelah itu insyaallah kita bisa memahami apa yang disebut dengan riba fadhl dan riba nasi’ah . Riba fadhl adalah tambahan kuantitas yang terjadi pada pertukaran antar barang-barang ribawi yang sejenis, seperti emas 5 gram ditukar dengan emas 5,5 gram. Sedangkan riba nasi’ah adalah riba yang terjadi karena penundaan, sebab, nasi’ah sendiri maknanya adalah penundaan atau penangguhan.
Semua riba utang (riba duyun ) yang telah kita bahas sebelumnya tergolong riba nasi’ah , karena semuanya muncul akibat tempo. Dalam konteks utang, riba nasi’ah berupa tambahan sebagai kompensasi atas tambahan tempo yang diberikan. contohnya utang dengan tempo satu tahun tidak berhasil dilunasi sehingga dikenakan tambahan utang sebesar 15%, misalnya. Maka, tambahan 15% ini merupakan riba nasi’ah . Juga dalam riba qardh dimana keberadaan tambahan telah disepakati sejak awal, semisal ada ketentuan untuk mengembalikan utang sebesar 115%. Ini juga termasuk riba nasi’ah (meski sebagian ulama ada yang memasukkannya dalam ketegori
riba fadhl ditinjau dari segi bahwa ia merupakan pertukaran barang sejenis dengan penambahan).
Sementara itu, dalam konteks jual-beli barang ribawi, riba nasi’ah tidak berupa tambahan, melainkan semata dalam bentuk penundaan penyerahan barang ribawi yang sebenarnya disyaratkan harus tunai itu, baik keduanya sejenis maupun berbeda jenis. Contohnya seperti membeli emas menggunakan perak secara tempo, atau membeli perak dengan perak secara tempo. Praktek tersebut tidak boleh dilakukan karena emas dan perak merupakan barang ribawi yang jika ditukar dengan sesama barang ribawi disyaratkan harus kontan. Itulah mengapa, pertukaran barang ribawi secara tidak tunai digolongkan kedalam riba
nasi’ah . Sebagian ulama menyebut penyerahan tertunda dalam pertukaran sesama barang ribawi ini dengan istilah khusus, yakni riba yad .
Kesimpulan
Riba bisa terdapat dalam utang dan transaksi jual-beli.
Riba dalam utang adalah tambahan atas utang, baik yang disepakati sejak awal ataupun yang ditambahkan sebagai denda atas pelunasan yang tertunda. Riba utang ini bisa terjadi dalam qardh (pinjam/utang-piutang) ataupun selain qardh, seperti jual-beli kredit. Semua bentuk riba dalam utang tergolong riba nasi’ah karena muncul akibat tempo (penundaan).
Riba dalam jual beli terjadi karena pertukaran tidak seimbang di antara barang ribawi yang sejenis (seperti emas 5 gram ditukar dengan emas 5,5 gram). Jenis ini yang disebut sebagai riba fadhl .
Riba dalam jual-beli juga terjadi karena pertukaran antar barang ribawi yang tidak kontan, seperti emas ditukar dengan perak secara kredit. Praktek ini digolongkan ke dalam riba nasi’ah atau secara khusus disebut dengan istilah riba yad.

ይኽንን ሁሉ ስብዕና ተላብሶ በኢትዮጵያ ሳተላይት ቴሌቪዥን (ኢሳት) አስተዋጽኦ አበርካች እና ከፍተኛ የገንዘብ አሰባሳቢዎች መካከል አንዱ ከመሆኑ በተጨማሪ በዚሁ ጣቢያ ላይ ለተወሰነ ጊዜ "የታማኝ ሾው" አቅራቢ ሆኖ ቆይቷል:: እንዲያውም ከዚያ መርሐግብር ላይ ከቀረቡ ዝግጅቶች ውስጥ የተውውሰኑት የተቆራረጡ ቪዲዮዎች በማህበራዊ መገናኛ መካነ ድሮች ላይ ዛሬም ሲዘዋወሩ እና ሲጋሩ እናያቸዋለን::
